Great picture – fan noise too much to take

The JVC HD-ILA Z575 projection screen television has an awesome 52” screen. The rear A/V connection features are good; but may lack some extras such as a memory card reader for such things as SD or Flash cards.

My largest dissatisfaction was with the sound of the cooling fan which seemed to be quite loud and irritating. Additionally, my TV sits in a small living room… and as such, the temperature inside the room (which is normally cool) was scorching hot towards the end of my 3hr TV watching event. I’m guessing the lamp necessary to light-up this bright screen had consumed much power, and had made the room feel like a sauna. This TV may be better suited to big living rooms and not to closed in or small poorly ventilated spaces.
