Pros: great Picture and sound eventhough i use my own receiver
Cons: No Hd receiver included but use the cable co receiver not a problem
Review: I checked many Lg screen TV incl the DLP side by side and this set blew them all away including some plasmas. I paid a premium price but so far its a great product well worth the money. Only con would be the cost of replacing the $400 bulb after 4yrs. ...

JVC sets new standard

by   hozzie1 ,  Sep 14, 2004
Pros: stunning picture, easy set up,
Cons: no built in HDTV tuner
Review: I have had this JVC 50" set now for two weeks and am still amazed at the picture this thing has. JVC uses a different technology than the DLP sets. JVC uses three chips instead of one. All I know is that this tv has the most vivid picture I have seen ...

Projecting into my home

by   Nannette28 ,  Feb 15, 2006
Pros: Bigger veiwing, surround sound, hdtv capable, size
Cons: no video games, cleaning restrictments
The Bottom Line: I recommend this television to those who want a bigger screen to see their shows, because this particular set is the most perfect television I have ever owned.
Review: Wow, is all I can say. This television not only brings your shows to you at a gorgeous display, but it also makes things easier. Since it is 52" it gives a much bigger viewing area. That creates less stress from the kids on who is in the way or not. ...

beautifully designed JVC that'll fill your room w/ quality...

by   popartpop ,  Jun 12, 2005
Pros: picture quality/easy instructions on changing the LCD bulb/nice sound/black trim around the screen/light weight
Cons: a little fan noise to cool off the LCD bulb...not much else!!
The Bottom Line: buy,buy,buy!!!
Review: ....walking thru the electronics showroom @ my local sears, i saw this beauty originally priced out @ $2500 & it was marked down 2 $1500 & couldnt pass up the deal-it had been returned out of guilt by a customer who said his wife was a little concerned ...

Great picture if you know what you're doing.

by   parad1gm ,  Jan 28, 2005
Pros: Great picture, bright, no burn-in, very light
Cons: Requires know how for setup, weak menus, not enough inputs
Review: The HD52575 is a great alternative to DLP for those who pick up on 'rainbowing' (the appearance of trailing rainbow effects caused by a color wheel). The picture quality has the potential to be excellent, however it is pretty poor out of the box. If ...

Great picture – fan noise too much to take

by   sabotage1945 ,  Sep 19, 2004
Pros: 1) Great picture with 3-chip color separation 2) Excellent and rich color 3) Screen size
Cons: 1) Fan noise too loud 2) No memory card slots (SD,Flash) 3) High temperature
Review: The JVC HD-ILA Z575 projection screen television has an awesome 52” screen. The rear A/V connection features are good; but may lack some extras such as a memory card reader for such things as SD or Flash cards. My largest dissatisfaction was with ...

An OK buy at best.

by   tbid2 ,  Aug 15, 2007
Pros: Picture great after tuning. 86 lbs. 3 HDMI picture modes.
Cons: Only 1(one) HDMI input. Short lamp life expectancy. Initial poor factory settings.
The Bottom Line: Decent set if you life in a dust free environment w/a steady cool ambient temperature. Oh, if you don't have a fluctuating power grid your tv might last 2yrs.
Review: What drew me to the set was that it was the brightest picture on the sales floor, as I have a lot of ambient lighting. But factory settings for the picture could be a lot sharper; you will need to go into the service menu (sleep timer to 0, then video ...

Lamp Unit Failures

by   couttsperez ,  Nov 11, 2005
Pros: Great Picture Quality
Cons: Lamp Unit Malfunctions
Review: Great picture quality and physical size. However, this TV is really only suited to a big room though (best viewing of the projection image is from 3 or more metres away). This TV has a definite "lamp unit" problem, I have had two failed units in ...

Bulb Issues

by   todd_wilson ,  Dec 14, 2005
Pros: Great picture, bright and clear. Splinter Cell never looked better!
Cons: Projection bulbs don't last long!
Review: Purchased this tv in July of 2005. Worked great with no issues until December, 2005. Then the bulb went out. I contacted Customer Service and they assured me that a replacement bulb would be on its way soon. Sure enough, within 3 days it was at my door. ...

clear pic with HD but not with regular cable

by   stevenjuly ,  Oct 19, 2004
Pros: Very clear pictures with HD or DVD, thats what I saw at the store...
Cons: noisy fan, poor picture with Non digital channels
Review: I was very disappointed with this 52" HD-52Z575 unit. First, I expected the TV to give me clearer pictures than a conventional television. Unfortunately my 16 year old Mitsubishi tube TV is much clearer with non-HD channels. Second the fan in the unit ...
