At first it is sweet but later it splatters, spews, & sprays juice
Date of Review: Dec 23, 2005
The Bottom Line: Buy it if you don't mind wiping juice as it sprays from juicing bowl and you don't mind extra pulp in your juice.
It is really a remarkable juicer in that it can juice several carrots or a medium sized apple at once. It makes for juicing really fast. However, the downside is it is not really durable, as I have maxed out its capabilities at juicing about 5 pounds of fruits and vegetables (mostly carrots, swiss chard, celery, and dandelion with some apple) once per week. After going on my third replacement provided free from Breville Company, I have decided to call it quits. After the juice is out in the juice jug, I still have to further strain it and then the pulp has not been satisfactorily removed from the juice, so I work a little more. By the time that I have taken the time to place a wet towel or dish cloth over the juice bowl from where the juice splatters from, I am somewhat frustrated. And this frustration climbs due to my already having to wipe the juice that continues running down the sides of the juice bowl. Such a complicated task when one is merely just trying to juice. My next action. Go for a reliable and sturdy juicer like the Omega 4000 pulp ejector juicer. I won't be able to juice as fast in the beginning but I won't have the big juice sprayed on the walls and running down the outside of the juicing bowl even. At this point, I've called it quits though the manufacturer has willingly replaced three juicers for me. I bought the 800 model too and it lasted slightly longer. (See my review in that juicer's review section.)
