Big Bang for the Buck

After having a custom entertainment center built, I began to research bookshelf size speakers to use in the unit. I needed something that had excellent sound that would serve well in a room about 300 square feet. After reading reviews, I decided on the JBL N26II (2002 model) and have never looked back. Besides the obvious attractiveness of the units and the excellent JBL parentage, the sound, for the size (and the money!) has never disappointed. Highs and mid-range are clean and crisp. Sound seems perfectly balanced and very realistic. The bass, considering the small driver, is deep and resonating at normal to high listening volume. At excessively high listening volumes there is a hint of distortion. Good looking, solid package and design, excellent sound and a bargain price. What more can you ask?
