Good Alternative to Magellan and Garmin Offerings

Lowrance iWay 500c - not so good

The Bottom Line: Not recommended. In it's price range ($510 @ Amazon.com), there are much better devices.

A Mostly Terrific Unit

The Bottom Line: If you need/want an add-on GPS, this is a pretty good choice
Review: I've had a built-in unit in each of my past two vehicles, so I'm quite used to using a GPS, and wherever I can, I'll try to compare the Lowrance to my built-in units.

How Did I ever Navigate without this?

The Bottom Line: If your in the market for an above average GPS this should be the unit to beat.
Review: I'm a researcher when I'm buying something new maybe too much so, but the Lowrance iWay 500c is by far one of the best products I bought myself in recent years.

After unpacking my Lowrance and aquainting myself with it for an hour or so...

Lowrance iway 500c a GPS extraordinary

The Bottom Line: As with all purchases do your due diligence and read the manuals.This unit in my opinion is a good simple GPS for much less than an installed system.
Review: I researched all GPS units and after pros and cons listed on GPS sites decided to try the iway 500c.

The unit is well made all components are heavy duty and all accessories are included several mounting choices and amplified antenna.
