It's A Great Halloween Tradition

At my house it just isn't Halloween without Charlie Brown and the Peanut Gallery. My family has always watched It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Even before I had children and a family of my own. When I was a little girl it was a tradition in my family and now it is a tradition in my home as well. This movie has always been among my favorites. I can recall watching it with my parents and siblings and every year I looked forward to this special pre-Halloween event. Now my children look forward to seeing it as well.

We watch It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown the night before Halloween. It is always a fun way for us to speed time together. This is a classic cartoon that captures the attention and imagination of children and is fun for mom and dad too.

Of course every year there is a new movie out that has a Halloween theme and many of them are very good but none can take the place of this classic. This movie has been a favorite of many households for years. I never tire of the fun it brings to my television.

I am sure that most are familiar with Charlie Brown and the Peanut Gallery. Charles Schultz, who passed on in 2000, was the master mind behind these lovable characters. Charlie Brown for whom nothing seems to go right, Lucy who is always trying to give out advice and see how she can trick Charlie Brown, Pig Pen and his ever flowing cloud of dust, Linus sucking his thumb and carrying around his cover, the ever adoring Sally, the adventurous Snoopy and many more. When Charles Schultz passed from this world her left behind his humor with the classic Charlie Brown movies. My favorite will always be It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

The main focus of this cute story is Linus. He is out to prove that there is a "Great Pumpkin". He believes that by spending the night at the pumpkin patch he will be able to prove his belief and the "Great Pumpkin" will come to him with gifts. Sally adoringly waits with Linus.

The rest of the gang dresses up to be included in the wonderful events of Halloween. Everyone seems to really enjoy themselves except Charlie Brown who gets rocks in his trick or treat bag instead of candy.

This is an adventure filled with lots of laughs and any child would truly enjoy it. Even Snoopy seems to have an interesting Halloween.

The movie can be bought as a gift set at Walmart. The set includes the movie and the peanuts pant set with six water colors and brush for your child to enjoy. It costs $17.99 for the set.

The movie is less than an hour long which makes it a perfect film for children. This short yet captivating movie would keep your child entertained.

Get It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and start a Halloween tradition. Just remember not to wait around for the Great Pumpkin or you might miss out on all the treats Halloween has to offer.
