very few bands, or artists, can you make arguments about there greatness but with the Isley Brothers, you can't deny there huge impact.they have changed music in so many ways.how many acts can boast or brag about there music being covered in a 30 year time period? from the Beatles, to Bone-thugs&harmony, covering there work. songs like "Shout" are pop treasures that made household names out of the Beatles.also "Who's that Lady" a rocking funky jam that still grooves to this day."Fight The Power" is a straight in your face groove that hits really hard.they have influenced so many artists through the years. "it's your thing" is a song that is timeless.when you get this box set you won't believe how many great songs that they have been a part of.very few artists or groups get as much out of themselves as The Isley Brothers, do.there music covers rock,pop,soul,country,funk, rap&hip hop,etc... they have no limits as writers,producers,arrangers &musicians. they have maintained a wide balance.you can put there music into any time period&it will still matter nearly 50 years later. they have been a force for so long&still maintain that.
