A great buy. No more sneezing!

First of all, I don't know what the others reviewers are talking about - it being noisy or buzzy? I don't hear anything from my unit - no buzz, no hum, no nothing. I think the florescent lighting in the kitchen may be noticeable if I really try to listen for it - but this unit doesn't make any noise.

One question we had was - okay am I going to need this for every room? The answer we found was "no." Our townhome has a big living room, dining room, kitchen, and hallway all pretty much connected. We put this in the corner and it really does a good job getting the whole floor. Our bedrooms are upstairs and so far we haven't needed it up there - but we agreed that we can just bring it upstairs from time to time if we felt needed. If we were constantly doing this - then it would be time to get a compact one for the upstairs. But as of now it works fine as is.

I just moved into a new townhome. My wife and I (and our puppy) have been openning up boxes left and right, moving things here and there, etc. For the first day, we were sneezing non-stop. There was dust all over and my wife's allergies eat her alive. Do you experience this in your house? If so, do yourself a favor and buy one of these things - it's amazing. We don't sneeze anymore. My wife doesn't sneeze in the house at all. Before she would go on this spree of sneezing like for 5 minutes straight. She'd have to blow her nose all the time and deal with itchy watery eyes... Now, all we breathe is clean, dust-free, pollen-free, dander-free - pure air. I love it.

MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH IONIC FILTERS -
I'll share a story with you that may or may not convince you that this product is good for those with a similar experience. I'm very sensitive to smoke (cigarette smoke in particular), pollen, stuffy rooms, dust - then again, who isn't. But there was this one time I was at a job interview 3 years ago. It was allergy season - right around the end of summer - I wasn't feeling very good about that. I also get drowsy for days when I take allergy medicine so I normally have to just deal with it. Anyways, back ot the interview - so I walked in for my interview with mildly itchy eyes, nose irritated/partially congested. Then I walk into the manager whose interviewing me and all of a sudden my nose totally cleared up and I felt great. I noticed he had an air purifier and it was the one from Sharper Image. I asked him about it and he said it was amazing how much stuff it collects and just how much stuff you're breathing in inside a stuffy room.

Well, I left that office wanting the air purifier more than the job.

Fast forward to last week. My wife and I walked through Walmart and they had this there for a little under $150. I knew it had to be pretty much the same as the Sharper Image one because their logo used to be the only ionic filtration thing, but now it's like ionic filtration thing that does _____ as well. Well, we didn't buy it then, but when we got home. The sneezing started again and I told my wife. We gotta go get the ionic pro - I bet it uses the same technology of the Sharper Image one.

I went out and got it that evening and I can't tell you how happy we are. We don't sneeze anymore, the air feels brisk, clean, and awesome.

REGARDING OUR PUPPY -
We also have a little maltese/bichon - she's hypoallergenic - so she doesn't produce much dander - but my wife is super-sensitive to any kind of pet dander. The smell of our little puppy is non-existant. Especially, when we come home from work we usually smell our puppy, her doggy litter, etc. Now we don't smell anything at all. It's absolutely wonderful having this.

Whether it's the Ionic Pro, Ionic Breeze, what have you. I highly recommend and promote this technology. If you hate the feel of a stuffy room, cigarette smoke, pollen, dander - find yourself sneezing constantly, blowing your nose, rubbing itchy watery eyes - guess what - you're body is reacting to all the things your breathing in. Do yourself a favor and get this product for household - yourself, your spouse, your roommate, your kids... Makes a great gift as well!
