Iogear 2 Port Hi Speed USB 2.0 PCI Card GIC220U

1st off, I'm not a computer expert. Until a month ago I had never performed an upgrade on a PC. My PC is a 766id eTower emachine. I didn't have any problem with upgrading my ram and adding an internal CDRW drive, but bought this card so that I could add an external USB 2.0 Hard Drive. I was running Windows 98 FE and I bought this card because Iogear was one of the few company's that claimed that their USB 2.0 card would work with Windows 98. The installation disk gave me an error that stated that the software would not work with my operating system and that I needed to have Windows 98 SE or higher. I tried at least a dozen different drivers that I found all over the internet (including the one at Iogear's website), but couldn't get any of them to work with this card and Windows 98. After spending several hours searching for a Windows 98 driver (until I thought my eyes would bleed), I reluctantly bought a Windows ME Upgrade Disk off of ebay (it was only $36 including shipping, but I had to wait another week for my shipment to arrive before I could use this card). It took about an hour to upgrade to Windows ME, but this card was recognized immediately and I haven't had a problem since.
