A real pig with no support
Pros:
Uh.... let me think... Nope
Cons:
No support, buggy, slow
The Bottom Line:
This buggy, clumsy program is complemented by Intuit's almost non-existent support

Author's Review
We've used Quickbooks for more than ten years and although it's never been the easiest program to use, it was always adequate. Not so with QB2008 - Our old version wouldn't install on our new Vista machines and tech support told us that we needed to "upgrade" to the new, improved 2008 version. New, maybe, but certainly not improved.
Some of the problems we've encountered might just be operator problems, but since Intuit provides no support for their products, we'll never know. We use the "multi-user" mode, where the database is on one pc and one of the users is on another. The thing that really irritates me is that the "main" user MUST actually be running Quickbooks in order for the other user to access the files - that is, there's no option to just run the database engine rather than having the stupid program running.
We've had many questions, none of which were ever answered. When they told us that they wanted us to actually PAY for the terrible support we had received in the past, we just decided to live with the limitations we'd encountered. I won't waste my time and money talking to someone in Bangladesh about my accounting software.
How I wish there were a viable alternative for us - but converting the QB data would be an absolute nightmare, or we would have converted to Microsoft's product long ago. That shows how bad QB really is - that someone would prefer a Microsoft product!
If you're a new user, take a serious look at Peachtree and Microsoft - once you're committed to QB, it's VERY difficult to switch.
