Best RPG of All

This is my absolute favorite RPG on the market. It's detailed, it's interesting, and it's not just hack-and-slash.
This story continues the story from the original Baldur's Gate, but the game itself is much, much better.
The story is as follows: you, the player, wake in a dungeon with Jaheira, Imoen, and Minsc. You discover that the dungeon is owned by a Jon Irenicus, who is obsessed with your heritage; you are a child of Bhaal, the God of Murder. You escape from the dungeon and emerge in Athkatla, the City of Coin, in Amn, where unlicensed magic is not allowed. As soon as you enter the city, mages capture both Irenicus and Imoen, and your goal is to find where they've been taken and rescue Imeon--and kill Irenicus.
You have countless options for this game. You can play a good character and reject Irenicus and his offer of power, or you can embrace the dark magic of Bhaal and use it to your advantage. No matter what class you are--thief, mage, fighter, druid, etc.--somewhere in the game, you will find a stronghold suited to you, which gives you several quests as well as a constant income. You have numerous options for NPCs (Non-Player Characters) for your party, but there can only be six at once (including you). There are several familiar faces from the original Baldur's Gate, including Viconia, Edwin, Xan, and Montaron. You also run into other characters, like Neb the Child-Killer, or the famous Drizzt Do'Urden.
One of the things I like most about the game is the interaction between the NPC's. There's romance available to your character, and individuals in your party interact according to their alignment. The NPC's also have quests of their own that you can become involved in.
This game is much, much better than the original. The graphics have definitely improved. The organization of the game has, too. Simple things have also been added; for instance, the journal can be organized by date, title, and finished quests, respectively.
This game also took me a long, long time to finish--and when I did, there was the expansion pack to continue with.
This is my favorite RPG on the market. It's classic fantasy, Dungeons-and-Dragons-based, without any weird sci-fi plots or bizarre races. It's also quite inexpensive now-but even if it was $50, it would still be worth it!
