A Different and More Effective Approach to Learning A New Language

by   robert0209 ,  Aug 2, 2007
Pros: extremely effective approach, vocabulary easily retained, easily accessible (online product)
Cons: Cost, grammatical supplement probably needed
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this program. It is extremely effective.
Review: Anyone who has attempted to learn another language is familiar with the standard memorization techniques that seem to never work. You're constantly having to re-visit previously studied words in an effort to keep what you learned. All too often, words ...

Pros: helps you learn basic Spanish
Cons: does not teach useful or practical Spanish like Learning Spanish Like Crazy teaches you.
The Bottom Line: Buy Learning Spanish Like Crazy instead if you really want to learn useful Spanish.
Review: I used the Rosetta Stone Spanish software several years ago. And it is not bad if you want to buy something to find out if you are really interested in investing the time to learn a foreign language. Make no mistake it takes time to master Spanish or any ...

Good base, but not nearly enough to learn a language

by   umcroat ,  Oct 17, 2008
Pros: Good base to learn more; varied vocabulary
Cons: Cost; not enough exercises where you speak/write
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this program. There are better alternatives, for example Pimsleur (with which you should get a writing guide)
Review: As someone fluent in Spanish, I went through a few level three lessons after a friend of mine complained he did not feel he was learning the language. For its' price, Rosetta Stone does little more than give you a good starting place for learning a ...

Learning Spanish Like Crazy does a much better jot at teaching how to speak Spanish

by   jonathan612 ,  Apr 20, 2008
Pros: user friendly software. whole family, including kids, will find the software enjoyable
Cons: Not as effective as Learning Spanish Like Crazy
Review: Rosetta Stone Spanish did not teach me how to actually speak Spanish. And I have used all 3 levels of the course. At best, it taught me how to recognize what is being said in Spanish. I wish I had found http://www.learningspanishlike crazy.com first. ...
