GTA: San Andreas
I have played each and every Grand Theft Auto title, and to this day I have not completed a single one of them. I just can’t find the time to spend the many hours that the game entails. The worlds are so big that I could sit in front of the television and spend hours driving around without accomplishing anything. And I have.

But the game is amazing! I felt it necessary to keep my character toned and muscular by lifting weights, running and riding bikes; as well as eating regularly. It allowed me to have weeks of enjoyment and every once in a while I throw it back in my system to get a little further or just waste some time. I rose high in the ranks and had my own little crime syndicate before putting this game away (for the next big thing).

Missions are various and non-repetitive. Flying planes and helicopters was fun, but the remote controlled plane missions were an annoyance. (Please don’t add these to the next game) Game play and animations are smooth. And there is a lot of driving involved. Did I say a lot? I meant too much. But it’s a good thing the developers included a multitude of radio stations with an assorted catalog of songs from the late 80’s.

Carl Johnson (the protagonist) and his friends are easily likeable despite all the lawbreaking. (Hey, you knew what you were getting into.) Equally great side plots accompany the core storyline. The game is an impressive accomplishment. It harks back to the beginning days of rap gangstas and South Central.

The voice acting is on par with modern day movies; and the game play feels like a 30-hour feature film. This game is in no way a child’s past time and is meant for adults. Cursing and killing abounds.
