Changing Table Flutter Bug by Infantino - The Perfect Entertaining Distraction For Diaper Changes!

Our oldest boy (now 3) used to despise diaper changes. We would wrestle through each diaper change and it became very frustrating. I desperately needed a distraction for him! That's when I ran into this beauty. It was the last one left on a clearance shelf in Target and I snatched it quickly!

First Impression
The Changing Table Flutter Bug mobile looked very simple, but fun and entertaining enough for a quick diaper change. The colors are stimulating for a baby with contrasting designs and colorful ribbons hanging from the butterfly's wings.

Setup
The mobile was setup in seconds! We just had to snap a few pieces together and viola! We were done! The unit simply sat on the edge of the changing table while the back screwed on to tighten it and keep it in place.

Design
The design and colors chosen for this mobile are perfect for baby's developing vision. The music and motion soothes baby, making diaper changes a lot more peaceful.

The butterfly has a blue, green and yellow body. The body is made out of durable plastic and arches out a little so it is just over baby's head. The head is orange and a soft cloth material. The wings were designed to stimulate baby with contrasting colors. On one side of each wing is a black and white design, while the other side is colorful. This will grab your baby's attention as the wings rotate between the colors and designs. The wings are sturdy and covered with a cloth material. As the wings rotate, there is also a little white circle on the butterfly's belly with a green circular design that spins. Just another little entertaining bonus.

Playtime
I underestimated how much I would like this mobile. It DOES NOT require batteries. It simply winds up and lasts just long enough for a diaper change (about 2 minutes). Just what I needed! The wings on the butterfly turn in circles and music plays, capturing baby's attention. They seem to get mesmerized by the spinning wings and twirling ribbon hanging down. The music is the same tune played over and over. The tune lasts about 10 seconds and, thankfully, is not annoying (at least not to any of us!).

Suddenly, diaper changes were much easier. Our son stared at the moving and singing butterfly mobile as I raced to change his diaper before the music stopped.

Not just for diaper changes!
This mobile is marketed for changing tables to make diaper changing easier. However, it can easily attach to a crib, portable playard and other similar surfaces. This was a great bonus for us because the mobile on our pack'n play was stationary and boring. This little gem fit on there just great and provided more entertainment.

Conclusion
We have used this for both our boys and it worked wonders for both of them. No batteries to change, just a quick winding of the butterfly and the music began. The wings can detach if pulled on, but they just snap right back on. Not a big deal. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone. To this day we still use this mobile, although our youngest is 13 months. He still likes to stare up at it and he tries to reach up and grab the spinning wings.
