A life saver and a back saver

by   PenBriSar ,  May 19, 2000
Pros: helps relieve back pain from carrying your child
Cons: none at all
Review: I was shopping in our local Wal-mart store about a month or so ago when I came across a shelf that had all different types of baby stuff on clearance. I pick up the double duty soft infant carrier and when I seen that they had marked it down to five...

Now I Know What A Pregnant Woman Feels Like ...

by   tlknapp ,  Aug 15, 2001
Pros: One of the less expensive infant carriers; does a good job.
Cons: Not as adjustable for fit as I would prefer.
The Bottom Line: A fine, inexpensive carrier for limited use; those who expect long and frequent usage may want to seek one that is more adjustable for fit to infant and parent.
Review: I work at home and my mate works outside the home, so I'm a bit of a house-husband ... and that means, at the moment, having our 3-month-old son at home with me during the day.

I love it -- infants Liam's age sleep a lot during the day. When...

Almost as Good As Mom!

by   Psyberslam ,  Dec 15, 1999
Pros: Easy to wear, very durable
Cons: Harder to use when baby is facing out
Review: I received my Infantino carrier at my son Anakin's baby shower, and I quickly fell in love with it! As a mom who loves to walk everywhere, this product wound up being one of the most used baby items we have. My son was pretty fussy at night, and one of...

good deal overall!

by   sjbraun ,  Sep 15, 1999
Pros: great price, wears well, comfortable
Cons: baby is "squished" when facing out
Review: I purchased this because my daughter HAD to be held or she fussed. It was significantly cheaper than the Snugli's and other name brands. I've been please overall - the baby can face in or out, the carrier holds up well and my baby loves it. It's also...

Infant carrier

by   mich_girl_01 ,  Nov 3, 2001
Pros: Durable, soft,it has a shirt protector, and your baby can face either in or out.
Cons: Hard on your back, difficult to get baby in and out.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this infant carrier! It worked wonders for me when my daughter wanted her mommy and I needed my hands!
Review: the Double Duty Soft Infant Carrier is and overall good product.I didn't buy this one, it was a gift at my baby shower. I use it a lot when I'm trying to make food or do the dishes. I have a very active puppy so I don't want my daughter on the floor...

Not the "top of the line".

by   sgentile ,  Dec 22, 1999
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Can't turn baby "out" & not
Review: I can honestly say that receiving a front carrier was one of my favorite, most used shower gifts (aside from my high chair and stroller) ! Carrying my infant around in this safe front-carrier was wonderful! My baby daughter & I went on long walks...

You can do better!

by   TLBP ,  Jun 27, 2000
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Difficult to use
Review: I used this carrier a couple times, but it's just not as good as the NoJo sling. Here are the details:

This carrier is only useful for a short period of time -- maybe 2 months through 1 year for an average-sized baby. Younger babies don't...

Sounds great, but not practical

by   micheleB ,  Dec 18, 1999
Pros: Great Gift Idea/Great Price
Cons: Not practical/Not Sturdy Feeling
Review: The makers of Infantino have a great idea, and I found myself & my husband being first time parents running right out to buy it. In fact we also got handed down to us 2 front carriers very similar to this one (Big Hint). When you have not had the...

Double Trouble

by   akirkpatrick ,  Mar 6, 2001
Pros: Can't think of any.
Cons: Not secure enough to hold newborn's head and too hard to get baby out.
The Bottom Line: Inadequate support for baby and hard to get baby out. Save yourself some trouble and get the Baby Bjorn.
Review: I received the Double Duty Soft Infant Carrier as a shower gift and was pretty excited about using it. The first time I tried, my baby was about 1 month old. He was in it for about 1 hour and I never could seem to get the straps comfortable, nor was I...

Find something else!

by   millerjace ,  Jul 1, 2002
Pros: None
Cons: Uncomfortable for Mom and Baby
The Bottom Line: Find something else. When wet (from drool etc) color transfers to baby clothing. Uncomfortable!
Review: I was incredibly disappointed with this carrier. It was a gift and I didn't try it until my baby was 12 weeks old. First of all the straps are way to skinny and it is supposed to hang on you as if you're carrying a backpack on your front and it feels...
