A few days before my son was born, my husband and I picked up a couple of last minute deals from our subdivision rummage sale. One item we nabbed was an Infantino EuroRider Baby Carrier in good condition. We werent sure how much we would use a baby carrier, but for $10 we thought wed give it a try.
Six months later, Im sure glad we made the impulse purchase. This carrier has received regular use, especially in busy stores where there isnt room to maneuver a car seat in and out of aisles and racks. The carrier itself is a nice, plain black color (so my husband isnt embarrassed to wear it), and the piece is extremely lightweight.
The carrier has criss-crossing straps in the back which are a little cumbersome to adjust at first, but work nicely once you figure out the right spot for your particular build. It also has two different adjustments for the baby so that you can make it roomier as the child grows. The carrier works with the baby either facing you or looking out, and is comfortable to wear in both modes.
I personally keep a hand on the baby while Im wearing the carrier, but my son certainly seems secure while hes in it. It is definitely for babies about 10 pounds and up when my son was between 5 and 10 pounds, the poor guy didnt come close to reaching the top of it. One other minor annoyance is the slight learning curve in getting the hang of taking the carrier on and off be aware, a second set of hands is very helpful for the first couple of tries!
We have not had to do any major cleanings (other than small soap and water jobs) on the carrier yet, so I'm not sure how it holds up to big messes.
Overall, weve had a lot of luck with this rummage bargain. Even slightly used, it has held up for numerous trips to stores and on family walks. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to carrying around a bulky car seat.
