this carrier is meant to be used for newborns and infants from 2wks old to 20lbs... a little less than the baby bjorns weight limit of 25lbs
It is very soft, and fit well for me, and I'm 5'7 and am definitely NOT skinny I actually tried this on while 6mo pregnant to see if it would work... and it had room left... My 6'1" hubby who weighs about 200 also wore this with room left in the straps.
the first time I used this carrier, my daughter was just 3 days old, but it was cold, so she was bundled in her bunting.... giving her the size and support that a 2wk old doesn't need. she was 7lbs 10 oz at birth...
I used it that first time to walk our dog and she slept comfortably in it. I used it after that to walk the dog, get groceries, and instead of a travel system or putting her in a stroller while she was little because she hated her infant carrier/carseat and I didn't want to put her in a big stroller right away where people could get in her face.
I loved having it for grocery trips because I could give her her bottle, burp her, and get her to sleep, all while shopping or doing what I needed to do. She always loved it and was perfectly happy.
This product also features a small burp cloth, but I never really found this necessary and just kept it off... I used a receiving blanket for when I burped her, because she spat up sometimes.
This product also has what I consider essential for these products... a string with snaps on it to hook a binky onto the carrier, so it is always right there.
when she was older, I used it in forward facing mode, and she loved it...
this carrier never gave me back pain and that is surprising, because I am overweight and have a large chest.
the material is softer than the baby bjorn, quilted and very comfy for babies.
I am not sure how easy it is to clean because I never had to clean mine.
My only regret is that my baby outgrew this carrier before she hit 20lbs.... she outgrew it at 6mo.
I really like this product better than some of the others because the straps cross in the back for even weight distribution and would definitely recommend this product to anyone. I would definitely buy it again.
