Cozy Rider - not so cozy!!!

The Infantino Cozy Rider is supposedly designed to be a hands free, easy to use baby carrier. It is made of a quilted fabric, which is comfortable both to the parent and the baby. It has a built in head support with adjustable straps designed to make getting baby in and out easier. It also has sturdy buckles on the sides for securing to the parent and adjusting as well. There is a vinyl area to prevent drool, spit up, etc from getting on the parent also. This area also contains slips to hold a pacifier or small toy. The baby can ride forward facing or rear facing.

I purchased this when my son was about 3 weeks old.

HATED IT!! I wanted to keep him close to me when we went on outings, or for walks and to not have to put him in a stroller. The sides came up to close around his face and rubbed him - and he was not too small or too large for the carrier. No matter how securely I had the carrier fastened to myself, it seemed like my son was going to slouch down every time. Either his legs would try to go in the wrong holes or he would slouch all the way down in the thing. The carrier did not fit comfortably on me at all. Putting the thing on and taking it off was another issue. It was virtually impossible to put the baby in or take him out without help - and he screamed hysterically the entire time. I never could work it by myself - it was always a 2 person adventure, therefore defeating it's purpose of when I wanted to go out alone with the baby!

Eventually I decided to give up and carry him or put him in the stroller anyway. I recently sold it at a consignment sale for $2.00!!
