Rock music is back!

Indestructible is the fourth album from the hard rock group Disturbed. Their first three albums helped them establish a place in modern rock. In a time when rock music seems to be slowly dying, here is disturbed ready to save the day. I have been a fan since the very beginning. It’s hard to find a group that has a killer combination of a great sound and great lyrics. Indestructible debuted on June third of this year. The first hit from this album, Inside the Fire, deals with a serious subject suicide. This is a subject that the lead singer David Draiman has dealt with personally; as he explains in the disclaimer before the music video. The group is no stranger to strong and controversial subjects. Prayer which was a hit on their Believe album was based on a conversation that Draiman had with God after his grandfather had passed away. Their powerful lyrics and unique sound make this album great. Other notable tracks include Indestructible which is clearly a depiction of the soldiers overseas. It describes the enemy as “broken” and the soldiers themselves as indestructible “masters of war”. This may not be the way that all of us view the war in Iraq, but it does show how some may feel. Another noteworthy track that I found interesting is The Curse. In a recent interview Draiman described the origin of the song. He had a rough week including his house catching on fire among other bad luck omens and felt that he was cursed. I think we all feel that way sometimes and can relate to the feeling. Overall, I think this is a great album. It has interesting tracks, the unique sound that is clearly disturbed, and deep meaning behind the songs. Disturbed puts a lot into their music and I believe that you only get what you give. You give a great album and you get a loyal fan base.
