The Land Of Ice Will Melt Your Heart!

My family and I were delighted when we watched this movie.
In the opening scenes of the movie we see ( Skat ) a strange looking squirrel. He kept us laughing in the background of the movie in small little scences. He is always in trouble trying to save his food, his acron, even encluding starting an avalanche!

As we go on into the movie, true to it's name we are taken back into the Ice Age as the Prehistoric animals are starting to migrate south. This is where we meet Sid-( John Lequizano) the sloth. Sid has been left behind by his family and is running for his life by two very angry rhinos after eating the last dandelion. Sid crashes into Manfred ( Ray Romano ) the mammoth. Manfred saves Sid, but being a loner he wishes to be left alone as Sid is rather annoying talking and never seems to know when to shut up. They are thrown together by all odds the main one, finding a human baby.

Manfred wanting to just go his own way wants nothing to do with this human baby, but Sid relentlessly insists on saving the helpless baby and finding his human family. Manfred finaly gives in and they start out on the adventure and this is where we meet a sabertooth tiger, Diego.( Denis Leary) Diego The sly and decieving tiger he is, convinces Manfred and Sid that he wants to help them as they know he is a good tracker.

Manfred and Sid doesn't know that Diego has been send by the leader of a pack of tigers to bring the baby back to the pack alive. The leader Soto ( Goron Visnjic ) wants the baby for himself, and Diego is to lead Manfred and Sid into an ambush.

The rather strang group of animals have many adventures ahead of them as they become a herd. Will they find the human family? Will Diego deceive his new found friends? Will they all surrive? Watch the movie and see.



My favorite character is manfred the mammoth. We see his memories of sadness and we watch him learn to love again, turning from a loner to a caring member of a herd. I would also recommend The Lion King.
