Great little SUV

I bought my Tuscon in July 2005 and I love it. I test drove several small SUVs including the Toyota Rav4 and the Mitsubishi Outlander and the Tuscon won by a mile.
The best feature of the Tuscon is it's roomy interior. Plenty of leg room front and back and easy to navigate controls from every angle. The cargo space, although on the small side, has features that truly maximize the usage, such as the cargo cover, which has wells on top for light storage and a netting that has storage in it as well. Gas mileage is so-so. I get approx 20 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. I have the FWD version, which is easily locked into place with the touch of a button. Great in the snow! I have not had any need for repair work on the vehicle itself but with the 10 yr/100,000 mile warranty, I'm not too concerned. I did have an issue with the CD player a few weeks after I bought the car and they replaced it without question. The Tuscon rides nicely, handles great and the safety features,including 8 airbags and electronic stabilty control, are top notch. If I have to say one negative thing about the Tuscon is that I have received 3 recall notices already - nothing major just inconvenient to lose use of the car for the day. I'd definitely recommend the Tuscon - in fact my 20 yr old daughter is looking to buy her first new car and it will be a Tuscon!
