Great car for a "sporty" kid...
Pros:
Great value, superb warranty, fun to drive, nice interior features.
Cons:
The 2.7 litre engine should get better mileage...but that's the one tradeoff on this car.

Author's Review
My wife and I, after viewing and considering all the competition, stopped into our local Hyundai dealer on a whim on Sunday night. After a test drive, and some great Sunday at 5:30 (when the dealership closes at 5:00) haggling, we walked out with a loaded 2005 Tucson leftover for $17,000! I'm still reeling from what I feel is the first "great" deal I have gotten on a car in a long time. The car is wonderful, I can't believe it was made in Korea, and the warranty made it very easy to go to sleep that first night without that "I've just been violated" feeling racing though my bones. We purchased the car as a first car for our daughter, and given her softball, surfing and sunning recreational pursuits, this will be a great fit for her. For the money, there is nothing out there that comes close to the Tucson...period. So, if you have a budget, want peace of mind with a dash or two of fun tossed in, this is your car!
