Author's Review
Amazingly, the Tucson is a big compact SUV and with a competitive price. The first thing I noticed was the accesories: 8 cupholders (4 front and 4 back!!!), one power outlet in the front and another one in the back (no more wrestling to charge your cell phone), a place to put your coins (is a coin tray- you can even sort them by denomination), power lock/windows/mirrors (you can even prevent your child to open the windows with a lock the provide), door lock for your children, digital clock, great Kenwood radio system (6 cd's changer) Am FM (the radio's screen change colors red, green, blue, natural, orange, etc. Its hipnotic!) and 7 speakers, the arm rest can be set higher or lower and has 2 storage spaces, vanity mirrors and a good storage space on the front doors among others. The driver's seat can be adjusted (adjustable height seat). Ah, the lock/unlock via keyless is perfect when your hands are full with the computer, the purse, the umbrella... you name it. The panic alarm is usefull too when you can't remember where you left your car. He, he that's me.
Ah!!! The wheels!!! I wanted a not to high not to low SUV. The Tucson is perfect: has 16 inches wheels. See? I am not a mechanic but the height was perfect. No more seating on the floor (my Toyota was killing my back that's why I understand the review I read on Epinions about the lower back).
My Tucson is automatic (6V) and also has the shiftronic stuff. I used the "shiftronic" last Saturday when I visited my family (they live on the mountains). The shiftronic is like driving a standard vehicle but you do not have to use the clutch. Rear recliner seats and seats that fold flats are an A+. The rear is roomy and the reclining seats are comfys. The cruise control is easier to use compared with my other car (I gave it to my husband. No way I was going to give him MY Tucson!!). The cargo space is OK for me because all I need is to fold flat the rear seats and the cargo area doubles. The back door can be open full or only the glass. By the way, it has a rear intermitent wiper and washer. The air conditioner keeps my car like Alaska COOL! The Anti lock brakes are present too. Another very cool thing is that the passenger's air bag only gets set if there is a passenger seated.
The exterior is handsome. My Tucson's color is hunter green and looks great. I saw the Black, the white, the silver, the red, the baby blue, the navy blue and the gray. The green was prettier because the trim combine perfect. I live in Puerto Rico and I was told the Golden Sand was not available here. That was the only color I can't see by myself (only in Internet). It has front foglights. I forgot to say that it has security beams on both sides of the doors. That is a must. Also has a Front and Rear Gray 2.5-MPH Impact-Absorbing Bumpers (the seller told me this).
The engine, well I don't know nothing about it but mine has a 2.7-Liter, V6, 24-Valve, DOHC, MPFI Engine; Front/Transverse Mounted With Horsepower Of 173@6000, Torque Of 178@4000 and Alloy Block and Alloy Cylinder Heads. He, he told you that's mandarin for me. Also has another thing about the suspension: Independent MacPherson Strut Front Suspension With Coil Springs and Gas Charged Hydraulic Shock Absorbers Independent Multi-Link Trailing Arm Rear Suspension With Gas Charged Shock Absorbers. I believe this by faith because I only payed attention to the accessories and conveniences.
The sound is great because, depending of the music, you can change the sound rock, flat, standard, jazz.. Try it an you will see.
The ride is easy, and you can see all the road ahead.
Least but not last the 100,000 miles warranty gaves me the last push I needed to buy My Tucson.
What else can I tell you? I strongly recommend the Hyundai Tucson. I know I can't but I will love giving Quick to my Tucson. I love My Tucson. He, he. Try one, you going to be stucked like glue; you can't get out. It happened to me and I am happy.
I hope this review will help you to make a good decision.
