I really like this 2003 Hyundai Tiburon!
Date of Review: May 19, 2005
The Bottom Line: Test-drive one and see what you think; that's the ultimate test (it's as reliable as any of 'em and better than a lot of 'em).
I've had this car for almost 2.5 years. I plan on buying another one shortly (the 2005 version). I have been accumulating a lot of highway miles on this one--almost 50K. I bought it for: the looks; the V6; the antilock brakes; and the price--affordable! I've driven it in heavy snow, hilly and very curvy roads, and in heavy rain. With good snow tires, this car has been a pleasure to drive in the snow---it's really worked out to be a great car for mid-Vermont/New Hampshire, believe it or not! I love the way it looks, liked the stylish yet minimalistic interior appointments, and my only complaint is about the high beam light switch---it doesn't stay in position (insists on staying in the "on" position). The fuel economy is not fabulous, but it's a V6; and it's a helluva lot perkier than the car I had before it (a 1995 Mazda MX-3, 4-cyl.) Honestly, there's nothing I "hate" about it; it's been an affordable and pleasant driving experience. My passengers (primarily my mom and boyfriend, both shorter folk) have complained that the car is so low, it is hard to get in and out of; doesn't bother me, because I am tall, have long legs and need somewhere to put them, and only these long, low cars do the job.
