I just bought this at Circuit City because it was on sale. Also, I read alot of reviews on other sites and did my homework to get a good disc repair system.
This one is really good. It took away some pretty good scratches on some discs that were otherwise un-readable.
This unit won't be able to help out with the deepest scratches and banged up discs, but it is well worth the $24.99 I paid for it at Circuit City.
It can leave some radial marks on the disc when it's done, but that's normal.
Also, you need what they call "Resurfacing Fluid", but the fluid is actually just distilled, filtered water, with a little bit of alcohol. Do yourself a favor, and when you run out of the "Resurfacing Fluid", just go out and buy some distilled water, and you'll be fine.
Also, the resurfacing wheel tends to wear out after about 50 repairs, so stock up on some, especially if you have a lot of discs that need to be repaired. I saw them available at the manufacturer's website, or at eBay.
All in all, a great product!
