The freezer fan then rattles with frost and ice and becomes very annoying. After warranty is expired be prepared to pay over $200 for an annual repair of defrost heater. Good luck getting to customer service where your wait will be up to 90 minutes if you use the phone. They will then pass you off to another department if you have any other questions. It will be easier to use GE website. Should have at least worked for 5 year without any problems.
