An Excellent Value

I was always fed up with uprights that never seemed to really clean the carpet, then I came across this unit. The store I bought it from said to take it home for 30 days and try it out.

It surpassed my best expectations, it is a very powerful unit that really gets the job done. I especially like the indicator lights that let you know when the carpet is clean, very useful in the sense that it forces you to vacuum the carpet slow enough to get all the dirt you can rather than just breezing across the rug leaving half the dirt behind.

The Hepa filters do an excellent job also of trapping the finest of dirt and preventing it from getting back into the atmosphere.
Like most products there are downsides. One is weight, it is a fairly heavy machine and if you are taking it up and down stairs it could be a challenge for older people.
Also for it to perform at it's peak the filter system has to be cleaned properly and regularly, in fact that is probably the biggest item against it. As much as it performs so well at getting the last bit of dirt so does it perform equally well at plugging up the filters.
Once the filters start to get plugged then decreased performance is a possibility.
We take the filters and cannisters out about every four or five times of usage and use the garage shop vac to vacuum the filters and filter holders, this cleans them up quite well and so in our case we do not consider this a big issue.
If you are not into the extra maintenance then it may not be the machine for you. But for us it is a small trade off for the high cleaning power the machine has when it is at its peak.
In fact we liked it so much we bought a second one for the upstairs, at 200 dollars for each machine we thought it good enough value to not have to lug one up and down the stairs.
Believe it or not the self propelled feature on the machine does work and works very well. We have not had any problems with either machine after 9 months of steady use.
All in all an excellent product when compared to the majority of uprights available today.
