I have had no problems...

I have had no problems with this unit; I have had it for over a year. The power of the unit is incredible. It picked up a lot more than my old Oreck. The unit glides across the carpet because the self-propelled action is very strong. All of the attachments are covered onboard so they don't fall off. The brushroll shuts off automatically when the unit is in the upright, locked position. You can also shut it off to clean bare floors. It is a big unit though and is heavy. The canister can be messy to empty. You need to bang off the HEPA filter or vacuum it off using a different vacuum. The vacuum performs best when the filter is clean. It does have a convenient dial you can use to shake most of the dirt off of the filter; that does not make any kind of mess. I have owned a lot of different vacuums and this by far is my favorite.
