A tall girl's knight in shining armor!
Pros:
Cord length. Cord rewind. Power hand tool. Ease of use. On board attachments.
Cons:
A little tricky to get used to use of carpet/floor cleaner at first.
The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this to anyone with allergies. It does an excellent job of picking up dust, animal hair, and it uses HEPA filters.

I must be the only one who is happy with the cord length! My old vacuum had a very short cord. To me, the wind tunnel has a very long cord! I used to have to unplug and replug in every room. With the wind tunnel, I only have to unplug and replug once in our downstairs area.
I am 6' tall. The adjustable extension wand is a dream come true! I used to have to get on hands and knees to clean our stairs. Now with the wind tunnel, I can do it all standing up! Plus, I don't find that I'm stooping as much during regular use.
Cleaning out the filters don't bother me one bit. My husband and I have allergies, which is what prompted me to look into this vacuum. I tell you what, the first time I plugged the wind tunnel in and used it, I couldn't believe the amount of muck it picked up! I had to empty the dirt cup twice, then give the filter a good cleaning after vacuuming, but this I didn't mind. Just the thought of getting rid of all that dust and dog hair made me a happy camper. I like the idea of cleaning everything out of the machine instead of having it hang around in the vacuum. I took the "advice" of one of the other reviewers and emptied the dirt cup right into our trash can, which is outside. After rinsing the filter, I found it was dry by the next morning.
I found the vacuum to be a bit squirrely to use at first. The forward momentum of the carpet/floor cleaner was hard to get used to. Although, going from carpet to bare floors is easy, and it picks up everything. I love how the edge groomers hug, and pick up dirt, along the walls.
This is the first canister vacuum I've owned and I love it! It's easy to use, and I'm happy to have on board attachments. Even if I have to carry an extra attachment or two, I don't mind. It's so much easier than my old vacuum, where I had to carry *everything*.
I haven't had any trouble with the cord rewind.
