I was not on the market for a vacuum but I was reading about Hoover U5140 - 900 Tempo Widepath Bagged, on sale at Amazon.com for $49 and free shipping and I thought for that price I should give it a try . Boy oh boy I'm glad I did . This vacuum is got a lot of power . If there is a more powerful vacuum then this I don't need it since it will probably be sucking all the fiber out of my carpet ( ha, ha ) I was pleased with my old vacuum, also a Hoover different model, but after using this Hoover U5140 - 900 Tempo Widepath Upright Bagged vacuum I think I should have got rid of my old one long time ago . This vacuum feels like it self propels , has a light and a level adjusting bar and will pick up everything even on bare floors. I have not yet used the cleaning tools and wands . I only wish , on all the vacuums, that the cord hook be made to accommodate an extension cord . I use one so I can reach without changing to a different plug. I have to say the cord on the Hoover Tempo Widepath is longer then the cord on other vacuums I had in the past .
