Heats Well But Poor Design & Funtionality

Date of Review:  Sep 15, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a high capacity heater without regard to accurate settings and easy readout or design features such as carry handles, at an inexpensive price, buy it.
Review: I purchased the Honeywell HZ519 Baseboard Heater to replace a DeLonghi heater which had good design, but did not heat very well. So it appears that the trade off was complementary, but at least I now get better heating capability, which is the...

Won't bring it

Date of Review:  Jan 31, 2007
The Bottom Line: I loved the silent operation, but the performance was worse then my previous heater, the display was hard to read, and the thermometer was not accurate.
Review: This was my last attempt to find a good heater. I was sold on the baseboard heater design after a very effective unit from Lasko, which regrettably made way too much noise and constantly woke me up. I was worried that this Honeywell might have the...

Nice toasty heater

Date of Review:  Jan 18, 2007
The Bottom Line: It's inexpensive, safe and cheap to operate and backed by a five year warrantee.
Review: A few years ago I purchase a Honeywell heater but it failed to work this year and I returned it to Home Depot. They cheerfully replaced the heater with the new Baseboard heater.
I'm using this heater in a fairly drafty bedroom and it does a...

OK, but noisy (!)

Date of Review:  Dec 14, 2007
The Bottom Line: For its price, I can live with its major shortcoming: not being completely silent
Review: I bought a couple of these when they were on sale, for 25$, at home depot last year. We use them to heat the bedrooms at night when the rest of the house is no longer heated.
First of all, the heater does a pretty decent job in a not too large...

I love it!

Date of Review:  Jan 2, 2007
Review: I purchased this heater from Home Depot in the early part of 2005. However, I didn't pay quite as much as the two previous reviewers mentioned, for whatever reason. It is used in a den sized room that was converted into a bedroom and it has worked...

HZ519 - Efficient and Quiet

Date of Review:  Dec 2, 2005
Review: I used this baseboard heater as a complimentary heating source in our master bedroom during the snowing winter time. This save us some gas and electric bills while keeping the whole-house heat bump low during the nights. I bought it at the local...

This purchase was a failed experience

Date of Review:  Oct 1, 2006
Review: I bought this small heater from Home Depot in Feb 06 and used it as an extra heater to cut down expenses and keep the chill off the room during the evening hours. I paid $45. for it.
