Steer clear of Target model

I recently purchased a Honeywell HT-800-TGT at Target. (I presume the TGT suffix indicates it a model produced and/or packaged specifically for Target).

I brought it home, plugged it in, and was gravely disappointed. Despite the Vornado-esque styling, this thing hardly stirred a breeze on the highest setting.

I did note that the packaging describes the Target model as a 7" fan, while other descriptions of the HT-800 state that it is an eight-inch fan. It does seem possible that there are other version of this fan that might perform better.

I took this one back to Target for a refund.

Then I went to my local Ace Hardware, which has fans running on a display, and picked out the Lakewood WC-8, which blows the Honeywell HT-800-TGT away. (See my review of the Lakewood WC-8).
