Affordable air purifier, very quiet, and easy to clean
Date of Review: Jan 4, 2008
The Bottom Line: Quality air purifier for the price with a low noise level and reusable filter that is great for anyone who needs one.
After suffering from smoke wafting in from my neighbors and possibly some other unknown allergens in my new apartment, I purchased this air purifier, which has saved my leaky eyes!
Before buying this model, I did a lot of research on the different types of purifiers out there, paying attention to price, features, noise level, environmental impact, and especially other user reviews.
Why I love this model:
1. Affordable price for the quality- Some purifiers can run up to hundreds of dollars. I was thinking of getting an Ionic Breeze initially because I had heard of the name, but seeing the price and reading the reviews, I decided against it. This Honeywell model had great reviews and was affordable for my budget.
2. Low noise level- This was the reason I chose this model over some of the other Honeywell ones, which users complained were quite loud. This model is not silent, but it is quiet enough for me to leave on overnight.
3. Reusable filter- I was hesitant to buy some other models other there because they required you to buy replacement filters periodically. Since I planned to use this purifier regularly, it really helps that it has a filter that can be easily rinsed under water and reused.
4. Environmentally friendly (supposedly)- I was not looking for an ionizer, but it happened to come with this purifier. According the the manufacturer, this model emits minimal ozone which is a plus, and it seems to be true because I have not had any problems with it after using it for the past 2 months.
What can be improved:
Nothing, really! I believe I got what I paid for with this model. I suppose the button settings can be more elaborate or it can come with a remote control, but for this quality and price, I am not complaining.
