Gentle Quietness; Low Humidity

My wife and I are searching for a humidifier to suit our needs - we need good humidity output that won't keep us awake in the bedroom (some models have been too loud).

This model is pleasantly quiet. It offers a soft gurgle as the heating element warms the water and turns it into vapor. It's actually a soothing sound, in my opinion - similar to the sound of gentle rain on the roof.

Where this humidifier falls short is in its humidity output. Even on high, the unit fails to affect the atmosphere in the room. And, when on high, the entire tank empties before we wake up, leaving us dry before the alarm clock wakes us.

I really like the quietness of this particular unit; however the moisture it provides falls far short of what I expected.
