Pros: Fast cool down; easy manual settings; large reservoir for long operation
Cons: Large reservoir is heavy, can be cumbersome; fan is stationary
The Bottom Line: This humidifier works well in a large bedroom during dry weather. I'd recommend it to anyone who wanted long operations on one refill.
Review: The quick version: I bought this humidifier to cool down and humidify my bedroom for periods of dry weather. It does its job well in a large bedroom and one fill-up is enough to bring relief all night long. The "Tolstoy" version: I live in Southern ...

Pros: quiet, efficient, easy to clean, large, easy to set, humidistat great
Cons: hard to find in local stores
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend the HCM645 because it is quiet, easy to use, efficient and has a large capacity.
Review: We love our Honeywell HCM645 humidifier. Before purchasing we read consumer magazines on humidifiers and did much comparison shopping. Reports indicated that many humidifiers are very noisy, so the quietness of the HCM645 was important to us. We also ...

Pros: Automatic moisture sensor, No-spill tank
Cons: Replacement filter cost, ours stopped working due but I was able to fix it
The Bottom Line: Great at humidifying, broke once but has worked since then. High filter costs makes it worth looking around for one that is more economical in the long run
Review: We bought this humidifier last winter for our daughter's nursery. I have never before used a humidifier so I cannot compare it to others. Setup The humidifier is easy to setup. The three primary parts are the base, motor unit, and tank. ...

Pros: Love the humidistat, efficient in a smaller room, longer than usual filter life
Cons: Mine seems loud on all settings with only small increments between the levels
The Bottom Line: Good humidifier, wish it had a lower setting for sleeping in the same room with it. Easy to use and maintain.
Review: Overall: The Honeywell 645 Cool Mist Humidifier does its job and does it well. I use it in a smaller room than it is rated for, a medium sized bedroom (about 160 sq ft.). It quickly gets the room to the correct humidity within about a half an hour. ...

Pros: Gets the job done. It's Reliable. Has remote. large water capacity and no mess.
Cons: Not really quiet, Humidistat takes inacurate reading.
The Bottom Line: Seems to be a decent solid buy. But if you decide to buy a different one, don't feel like you missed out on much here.
Review: Several things make this a good humidifier. Nothing makes this a great humidifier. This humidifier can be easily found in most any Walmart. It's not too expensive and it has a nice little remote control that lets you turn it on and off and ...

Pros: Relatively quiet, humidifies a very large area quickly.
Cons: Filters don't last long and are a bit expensive. Unit is somewhat fragile.
Review: This is the second HCM-645 that I own. The first worked fine for a whole year until I dropped it from a storage shelf (thus the need for a replacement). The second worked for a single day and then mysteriously stopped working. I suspect that the ...

Badly designed - spills water out the sides when moved
by

Pros: It's quiet and has multiple controls for fan speed and humidity level
Cons: A pain to fill or move without spilling water everywhere
Review: This humidifier works well enough, but don't plan on moving it without spilling water. It has slats on the sides to accommodate airflow that are badly placed just centimeters above the water level - any movement and water spills out the slats. Even worse ...
