Pros: Awesome ideas, featured products, beautiful abodes.
Cons: Some of the things are VERY expensive.
The Bottom Line: HOME magazine is an excellent resource for anyone who is planning on decorating or remodeling.
Review: One would think that someone who is in hundreds of houses each and every year would be sick and tired of looking at 'em. Not true ever since I subscribed to HOME magazine a couple of years ago.
While dreaming of renovating our 1950 ranch into... |

Home Magazine is a Helpful Resource when Redecorating!! |
|||
|
Pros: Decorating ideas are practical and items shown are affordable.
Cons: Trendy, shorter than other decorating magazines.
The Bottom Line: There are lots of practical ideas and new products but the styles are a little too trendy for my taste.
Review: Home Magazine is one of the most practical, yet stylish, decorating magazines available. Like most magazines, Home shows glossy spreads of beautifully decorated homes. Of course, like most magazines, the homes have zero clutter and sometimes fashion ...

Pros: Good place to "mine" for ideas for your home
Cons: Too many advertisements
The Bottom Line: Home magazine is a nice little rag with a few good ideas and lots of stuff to drool over - give it at least one try!
Review: I count myself among those who enjoy watching Julia Child and Martha Stewart from time to time. Like most people, though, I find most of their recipes or home projects far beyond the reach of the average cook or homemaker. However, they are great for...

Pros: Lots of info and ideas
Cons: none
Review: My husband got me a subscription to home as a housewarming gift--knowing that I would want help decorating my first house.
I really like it, but sometimes it is difficult to tell the ads from the articles. There are a lot of ads, but that is... |

Pros: Very versatile styles monthly
Cons: none
Review: The best feature of this magazine is the sense that these redos and decorating are meant for "living". None of the Please Don't Touch attitude that you see in other decorating style magazines. This magazine is packed with ideas for family...

Pros: Excellent ideas for the new home owner
Cons: Would like more on home repairs for do it yourselfers.
Review: This is a wonderful publication that showcases both new and older homes. The ideas are practical and beautiful. You can learn how to coordinate a color scheme thru your whole house without spending a fortune. They provide comprehensive listings of the...

Pros: Some interesting ideas.
Cons: Most of the information would not be for your average homeowner.
The Bottom Line: Good for your more upscale homeowner, not for the average person.
Review: I started to receive Home Magazine through a free subscription. After getting my first issue,I know this is not a magazine I would buy.
The magazine is good sized, but a lot of it is ads. The articles are really for more upscale living. I have... |

Pros: original ideas
Cons: expensive furniture
Review: I enjoy buying this magazine because I have recently purchased a home where I needed a lot of ideas. I took a little bit from each article/feature and made a spin on it and create some neat things. The one downfall was that the furniture is usually...

Pros: The ideas are not real expensive, and you can do most of them.
Cons: Where do they find people who have no stuff?
The Bottom Line: I glance at Home magazine, and then I toss it. It was pretty good, but it's a bust now.
Review: As a people, we seem to be obsessed with improving our homes.
How earth shattering is that statement anyway? Thats the lead for the editorial for Home in the latest issue, but it sure is a dreary... |
