Cons:  None

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

Daft Punk while not a super popular album should be considered among the most influential CD's of the 1990's. It was the first crossover CD from the underground electronica sound to mainstream clubs.

The musical influence of this album is striking, from Madonna's "Music" to the increasing popularity of the Rave scene and its acceptance of House, Trance, D&B music. Songs such as Revolution 909, to Da Funk, to the popular Around the World are worth the price of this CD alone.

An unqualified success in terms of the first movement of electronic music into the mainstream in the mid 1990's it should be included in any audiophiles collection.

The music of Sash!, Cassius, the Chemical Brothers and others have all drawn influence on Daft Punk however any number of "mainstream" artists have been influenced by this trend towards electronic music. House is becoming more popular and Daft Punk started the trend in the mid 1990s.
