Daft Punk's homework is a great album. I bought it right when it came out in 1996, I believe. I don't know why I bought it, I had never heard of them and I had no idea what kind of music it was. I just saw it when I was passing the music store and for some reason the cover just caught my eye and I decided to buy it. I was never really into dance or techno music before this but this set the path.
Daft Punk is a duo who create some amazing beats by using base, electronic equipment and and even some synthesized voices. This music definitely gets you moving and dancing with its strong base and beats. It is also very original and it was different from what everybody was doing and now they are what other similar music is compared against.
I personally enjoy every track on this album, which is very rare. My favorite track though is Around the World, whose beat I just love, and even though it is the same thing said over and over again for about 7 minutes, I enjoy every second of it. I definitely recommend this cd for anyone who is into dance or techno music, or for anyone who enjoys good production or experimental music.
I have had this cd for about 4 years and it is still one of my most played cd's. It is very versatile also, you can definitely listen to it if you are in a dancing mood, if you are hanging with friends, when your in the car, when your working out, and I even listen to it when I go to bed(very soothing for some reason). I thought I lost it once and I was very upset, I went out the next day and bought a new one, It turns out that one of my friends borrowed it without asking, so now I have a backup just in case something happens. I just hope they come out with another cd, but this one will do until then.
