Do Your Homework

Pros: Has a great "in the club" feel; great for background music.
Cons: Repetitive - some songs last entirely too long.
The Bottom Line: Great album that lulls a bit in the middle, but never the less is well worth the price of admission.
Review: Daft punk's debut, Homework, is an eclectic sampling of French dance music. Sharp cutting beats, rollicking base lines, and pure danceability are the definition of this album that's chock full of quite a few great tracks, though also some less...

Pros: High energy, catchy, inventive, original
Cons: Listening in your car may force you to drive too fast!
The Bottom Line: This record is a must. Easy to get into, never boring, and full of awesome funky rhythms.
Review: Daft Punk are one of the artists at the cutting edge of the French electronica movement of the late 90s, and this LP shows why.
They are probably the only electronic band who can get away with 6/7/8 minute songs without getting boring. Some songs... |

Pros: Good for any occasion, it's really well done, trippy (if you want to), intelligent music, nice sequence of tracks, the CD tracks make single thing, unique
Cons: Not every song is danceable, takes a while until you love it, tracks are not as great by their selves
Review: I became to know Daft Punk after listening to their Around the World (http://www.uuuu.org/daftpunk/aworld.rm) song. I thought this would probably be Daft Punks only great song. I was awfully mistaken. (Try to notice the music behind the lyrics;...

Pros: Great dance music, great beats, great production, every track is good
Cons: none
Review: Daft Punk's homework is a great album. I bought it right when it came out in 1996, I believe. I don't know why I bought it, I had never heard of them and I had no idea what kind of music it was. I just saw it when I was passing the music store and...

The First Crossover of House Music

Pros: Catchy tunes, style which influences many current artists
Cons: None
Review: Daft Punk while not a super popular album should be considered among the most influential CD's of the 1990's. It was the first crossover CD from the underground electronica sound to mainstream clubs.
The musical influence of this album is... |

Pros: You'll like it.
Cons: It would suck to give away as a gift
Review: If you haven't heard this one before, count yourself lucky! I saw Daft Punk do a live performance of this CD about a year before it was printed. I've been to a few raves, but this was absolutely the best set I've ever seen. The rave was Even...

The Best In French Filtered Disco House

Pros: extremely well done house LP that appeals to more than just the dance music crowd
Cons: it doesn't contain a lot of their great tracks available only on vinyl 12"
Review: This is the best CD you can buy as an excellent example of French house music using many filters and influenced heavily by disco.
I've known many people that have different musical tastes that can really get into this album. Each track has catchy... |

Daft Punk Drives The Heavy Beat

Pros: Very heavy dance beat.
Cons: No way.
Review: Daft Punk has some sort of strange talent of changing the feeling of music...at least for me it does. It's strange, because sometimes I'll hear a Daft Punk track like Rock'n'Roll or Rollin'n'Scratchin' and feel like it's aggressive music, and then other...

Pros: Innovative as hell, gave Cassius, Air and Bassment Jaxx a lot of inspiration.
Cons: Where's "Musique"?
Review: Can there possibly be a better house album than Daft Punk's Homework? I don't think so. I'll admit, I jumped on the bandwagon way too late, but I now wonder how I existed as a House DJ without it. The album is an absolute tour-de-force of French...

Pros: makes me soo wet!
Cons: have to wash pants
Review: makes me so moist on the inside. juices start gushing out uncontrollably. When my DJ spins up daft, i reach a state of exstacy like no other. It's fufilling, yet I long for more. This album will leave you moist for days.
