Nice Looking for a Large Humidifier but Mine didn't Last Long.

My unit made it just past a month of running well. The design is nice on this humidifier for such a large unit. I liked the rounded corners making it easy to place it just about any where in the house. I chose to put mine in our living room which is close to the bedroom.

I have a problem with allergies and asthma so adding the humidity in the house is a must for me in the winter months. The HM 3500 did a good job keeping up with our home and I was breathing better because of the added moisture.

I have had other Holmes humidifiers but smaller units that I was constantly adding water so this is why I decided to try the larger one.

First one of my plastic handles broke loose from the tank as I was placing it back on the unit. A little Super Glue solved this problem. Once the tanks are filled with water they are quite heavy and I was thankful I was only having to fill them every other day.

I had talked with Holmes about this unit before buying it to see how much the cost on the filters and they are expensive but I was told they would last 2-3 months before needing to be replaced.

Mine made it just a month. I was alright with this as each home can be different and maybe I had more dust in my house to filter out or something and I was willing to give it another chance.

Replaced the filter and now my humidifier is having the fill light remain on and the fan or something is vibrating. Called into Holmes and they were going to have a technical person call me back about this problem... but I am still waiting for that call.

I finally figured out to move the tin piece to one side to get the fill light to go off. As for the vibration it continues to get worse. I was able to run it on medium with out hearing it now on low it's quite loud.

Holmes is going to replace this product for me and I am going to get a different one because of all the problems with the HM 3500 I didn't want to try another one like it again.

I know a lot of people are happy with theirs and I'm sure I would of liked mine a lot more if it wasn't for the problems. I am very pleased with HOLMES customer service they did try to make this right for me.
