An excellent FPS

by   hc_ca ,  Dec 15, 2002
Pros: Excellent soundtrack!, exciting gameplay, great storyline, interesting missions
Cons: AI is a little incompetent
The Bottom Line: Highest quality, most captivating FPS out there on the market.
Review: The story begins in a Sicilian monastery. Agent 47, or "The Hitman" is the character you will be playing. As he attempts to further himself from his filthy past, a Russian crime lord induces the hitman to return to his line of work. Hitman is soon caught...

the cover is even cool :D

by   dustj7j ,  Jun 12, 2003
Pros: great graphics, sound, etc *read review*
Cons: cant punch *a very weak con but read the review*
The Bottom Line: No game like it, play it, and you'll see why, but if you just trash it, and not play it through, you obviously don't know what precision is.
Review: If you played the first, you know what the second is about. And you probably from there know about t ...

A shooter that values brains over brawn.

by   bloolight ,  Jul 12, 2007
Pros: Great atmosphere. Ratchets up the tension and keeps you glued.
Cons: Inconsistent AI, a few annoyingly difficult levels.
The Bottom Line: This is a great twist to the classic third-person action title. It demands patience and planning, but the rewards are great.
Review: With the "Hitman" series of games, Eidos created an intriguing new twist to the old shooter formula as well as one of the most striking lead characters to come along in quite a while. The first title was released to positive critical notice, but ...

Hitman 2 PC: "When Your Name's 47...Everyone's Got Your Number."

by   Alkaiser ,  Oct 22, 2002
Pros: Wide variety of weapons, nice graphics.
Cons: Music kinda bland, AI not up to snuff.
The Bottom Line: Not perfect, but well worth a purchase.
Review: Way, wayyyyy back in the day, you know like, right around the time Final Fantasy 9 got released, there was a little game Eidos put out called Hitman: Codename 47. It played kinda similar to Deus Ex, but you weren't allowed to just go...

Old habits die hard

by   indigochild ,  Nov 17, 2002
Pros: freedom of gameplay, big armory
Cons: some missions can be very repetitive and painstaking
The Bottom Line: One of the best, if not the best, single-player games of 2002.
Review: Introduction

The world's most infamous assassin, 47, is back! Here you play as the genetically-engineered killer code-named "47", in a sequel to the original ambitious but somewhat flawed game "Hitman: Codename 47".

If you've...

Hitman living up to it's potential

by   inscrutable_po ,  Dec 27, 2002
Pros: Much improved over the original. Good gameplay and suspense.
Cons: Not perfect. A little too video gamey. The stroy is a bit screwy.
The Bottom Line: I think people who enjoy stealth and shooting will enjoy this game. I think Hitman will be around for a long time. It has a unique angle.
Review: I played the original Hitman and you could see it had potential that was squandered, mostly because it wasn't really done when it was released. It had the levels and all, but things just didn't work so well in practice. I ended up using the cheat codes...

Hitman 2: Could’ve Been Great, But Only Turned Out Good

by   underdawg ,  Aug 4, 2004
Pros: Unique emphasis on stealth and deception.
Cons: Can get through the game just by killing everybody. Boring plot.
The Bottom Line: Still a fun game...just not a classic.
Review: If you’re as cheap as I am, when Hitman 3 came out, you checked out the reviews for Hitman 2 to see if you could get a good cheap game. Actually, I had this game before Hitman Contracts came out, but it is a good game and delivers a lot of bang for the ...

A shooter for every type of gamer.

by   darkangeln ,  Dec 30, 2002
Pros: nice graphics, lots of variety between weapons and your choice of gameplay
Cons: controls lag a little, limited number of saves, slow paced.
The Bottom Line: Excellent graphics, excellent sound, excellent gameplay = excellent game.
Review: Another first/third person shooter game, what's so special about this one now?
Well, Hitman 2 is not your average shooter. The goal of this game is not to have the player go out in full force and massacre everybody they see. You're suppose to be a...

Far Better Than The First

by   Raptor6411 ,  Jan 22, 2003
Pros: Simpified controls, excellent graphics, superb gameplay.
Cons: Required high-end machine to fully enjoy, lackluster plot.
The Bottom Line: A solid addition to what I hope will become the Hitman Series. Solves almost all issues present in the first game.
Review: I was somewhat skeptical of a new Hitman, mostly since the first game was ambitious, but flawed. With it's punishing difficulty level and often frustrating controls, Hitman: Codename 47 could have been a much better game than it turned out to be. Hitman...
