Worth the price... Must have DVD-RAM!

Pros: Inexpensive, DVD-RAM capable, Small, 16x optical zoom.

Cons: Bad quality still pictures, no flash, No DVD-RW support.

I got this camcorder for a very cheap price. I payed only $300 for it brand new, non refurb. It works great. You can use double-sided DVD-RAM discs that hold 30 minutes of video on each side. The double-sided DVD-RAM discs are kind of hard to take care of and can cost around $15-20. DVD-RAM discs are the best for recording video, and this camera is great, because they can handle the discs. I really don't like the fact that I have that the Hitachi DZ-MV730A DVD Camcorder doesn't have a remote or a pc-link ability. I also wouldn't rely on taking pitures on this camera. The pictures are good if you plan to print stamps. This camera is not DVD-RW capable. It can use DVD-R discs, but who would want that? Very easy to use. If you plan to use DVD-RAM discs, you must have a DVD-RAM compatible DVD burner drive on your computer. Otherwise you have to use the DVD-R discs. If you want still pictures stick with a digital camera, believe me... This camera doesn't have flash either, like most of the new camcorders out in the market today.
