Hitachi CM771 19" Monitor
Pros:
Everything about it.
MOST especially, it is DURABLE! Bulletproof.
Picture-perfect.
Cons:
A tad large, does take up a fair amount of real estate.
The Bottom Line:
Older technology at this writing, but a real jewel. Highly recommended!

Author's Review
Today is Sunday, December 04, 2005 and I've owned my Hitachi CM771 for YEARS now.
I rarely shut it off overnight. So, it's been taking a licking, and has kept on ticking for YEARS now ... 5, as I think back to when I bought it NEW.
The reason I was prompted to look up reviews of this MATURE product, at this late stage of the game, is because of something that recently happened TO my Hitachi Monitor.
House cats camp out on the top of this monitor for warmth. One recently got sick and puked up mostly water, that went right down, through the grates / vents in the top-back of this monitor. I heard a snap sound and the screen went dark.
Long story short, I plugged in a spare, even older 17" monitor, and allowed the Hitachi to sit for a couple of days. Hoping, against hope, that I might get lucky, and it might revive once dry.
It DID! The Hitachi came right back to life once dry inside. I'm using it as I type this review.
As for the rare complaint I have read about picture quality or other visual anomalies ... I have experience none of that. This monitor is SWEET!
