Pros: Flat Screen, Bright Colors, .22 Dot pitch
Cons: 53 lbs, Not a flat panel, bulky
The Bottom Line: Most bang for my buck? 19" Flat screen w/.22 dot pitch for under $400 and 5 year warranty to boot.
Review: Here is the breakdown of my review:
1.) What was I looking for? 2.) What attracted me to this monitor? 3.) Shadow Mask vs. Aperture Grille 4.) Ergo Flat compared to Flat, Square 5.) Some Specifications 6.) Comment on... |

Pros: Everything about it.
MOST especially, it is DURABLE! Bulletproof.
Picture-perfect.
Cons: A tad large, does take up a fair amount of real estate.
The Bottom Line: Older technology at this writing, but a real jewel. Highly recommended!
Review: Today is Sunday, December 04, 2005 and I've owned my Hitachi CM771 for YEARS now. I rarely shut it off overnight. So, it's been taking a licking, and has kept on ticking for YEARS now ... 5, as I think back to when I bought it NEW. The reason I was ...

Pros: Image sharpness, brightness
Cons: No USB port
Review: This is my first epinion so please bare with me while I go through how great this monitor is. :)
I will start off by saying that this is the best monitor for your money on the block. It utilizes a Invar shadow-mask opposed to aperture-grille... |

Pros: Beautifully clear, sharp and flat - the best monitor I've ever used.
Cons: None yet!
The Bottom Line: The true flat screen, fine dot pitch, high scan rates, and excellent color contrast provide the best picture you could hope to see, all in a compact package.
Review: The Hitachi CM771 was highly rated by a ZDNet review last fall, and the CM772 came out soon after. (It's rated separately in several ZDNet.com articles dated 19 January 2001.) The CM772 is the same size and has all the same specs except for higher scan...

Pros: Very clear, High refresh rates, easy menu keys, easy to install,INVAR Shadow Mask Tube, Ergo Flat Screen
Cons: no USB connections
Review: Let me tell you about the monitor I was using before this. It was an Acer Aspire 55, 0.28 dpi and I got it as a refurb at sears. The monitor still works, but after about a year, I got fed up with the darkness of it, the clarity was terrible, and plus it...

Pros: Flat screen without the aperture grille damper wires. Great picture. Low cost
Cons: Could use better geometry correction controls
The Bottom Line: For less than $400 the cm771 has image quality rivaling 19" monitors that cost $200 more. You get the advantages of aperture grille monitors without the cost or damper wires.
Review: The cm771 is a very good monitor. Perhaps not a great one but I submit that for less than $400 delivered there is no great 19" monitor. The best feature of this monitor is the Ergo=Flat tube that finally provies a non aperture grille flat tube monitor....

Pros: Crisp shadow mask/aperture grid, Good colors, Good quality, many controls, pretty flat
Cons: Horrible Moire patterns
The Bottom Line: Great in all aspects except for the brutal Moire patterns. Could have been perfect but it is isn't. Look elsewhere.
Review: I bought two of these monitors for my office upon reading recommendations on the web and trusting the Hitachi name. Here are my views:
PROS: I only use Invar mask/aperture grid monitors because my eyes are very... |

Pros: Small desktop footprint, easy-to-use controls
Cons: Compromises between horizontal moire and focus, no vertical geometry adjustments, inconsistent picture intensity
Review: After deciding to upgrade my three-year-old, 17" ViewSonic PT775, I read everything I could about 19" monitors, and took a look at several monitors at CompUSA and Best Buy, although I usually order from internet sites.

Pros: flat screen, no glare
Cons: awful text quality, hard to adjust, bad picture
The Bottom Line: avoid it
Review: I bought 2 Hitachi monitors in the past (both 17 in. of excellent quality), so when I decided to buy a new 19 inch monitor, I knew I wanted Hitachi again. I went for 771 and was I shocked when I got it yesterday! The picture quality was awful, to say...
