I recommend the Hip Hammock to any active child care giver who needs to accomplish tasks other than sitting with the baby, but who also considers the baby's comfort important.

I recently bought the Hip Hammock to replace a "sling" type carrier, and I and the baby love it. In the Hip Hammock, baby's legs ride on either side of my hip, which means they are not in my way as I walk, and the baby seems much more comfortable; thus, he is willing to spend more time in it. Also, the carrier leaves both my hands free to do other things.
The ease of use and comfort are amazing. The straps adjust easily with just one hand, they are wide and padded, and very strong. Also, there is enough strap adjustment space to accommodate almost any body...even Dad's!
Some other important features of the Hip Hammock include a cell phone carrier and a loop to attach a toy to for the baby. The soft, lightweight micro-fiber material it is made from is completely machine washable, and the Hip Hammock rolls up to make for easy storage in a diaper bag.
One down side to the carrier is that it seems to pull a little on the neck after wearing it a long time, but if the baby starts to feel heavy in it, with one hand i can slightly support his bottom, instantly relieving the baby's weight.
Overall, it is well worth the reasonable price I paid.
