R707 Was A Great Value

Date of Review:  Dec 18, 2006
The Bottom Line: It is not for the professional but if you want good pictures and video that will last without professional fees.
Review: I purchased the HP707 in the earlier part of 05' after months of comparison. Once ready to purchase I researched the price and found that this particular model was going bye-bye to make way for new 6 pixel. After days of footwork I found it at...

Takes great photos, built well, long battery life

Date of Review:  May 10, 2004
The Bottom Line: Takes great photos. A big step up from previous HP point-and-shoot digital cameras, both aesthetically and performance-wise. Good combination of ease of use, plus manual features.
Review: There's quite a few digital cameras to choose from in the $350 price point. For starters, you've got the Canon A80, the Canon S410, the Pentax Optio S4I, and the Casio QVR-51. So why did I choose this HP model? Well, honestly, because I got it...

HP Raises the Bar

Date of Review:  Aug 17, 2005
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for easy to use, good quality, compact, and a moderate price, this camera is it.
Review: (This is a repost of my original review, which disappeared through some epinions crack)
Once again HP outdoes themselves with their value-market but powerful technology. I had previously owned (and reviewed) the HP Photosmart 935 camera and...

HP R707 - Value for Money

Date of Review:  Apr 6, 2005
The Bottom Line: 4 ~ 5 Megapixels with an attractive Price Tag. In Depth Help-guide on the camera itself. Good Image Quality. LCD should have been bigger though.
Review: My Uncle wanted my buy a Digital Camera and asked me for a suggestion. I wasn't too sure about his budget but recommended a Nikon to him anyway. I now found out that he went for an HP R707 and got the chance to play with it.

Though not a...

Nice body, Great Eyes. Excellent for direct printers.

Date of Review:  May 11, 2004
The Bottom Line: Good adaptablilty in a variety of lighting conditions and red eye reduction make this camera work well. The design makes it feel good. A good choice.
Review: The HP 707 caught my eye because it's an HP that simply doesn't look like the typically boxy HP. I'd heard good things about the new HP line this year; apparently they've won a few awards, nothing I could testify to mind you.

When I picked...

Date of Review:  Aug 18, 2005
Review: I loved this camera to start with, in fact I had my brother get one also. But now, I am having problems with it. When I go to take pictures, they look great on the screen until I snap the shot, then they are darker than the picture should be even if...

A okay camera...

Date of Review:  Dec 19, 2005
The Bottom Line: Well, I wouldn't say don't buy it. It was definitely a reasonably good purchase. But there are probably better camera's on the market now.
Review: I bought the HP R707 in the summer of 2004. I haven't had a whole lot of problems with it since I bought it, but there are a few things that peeve me off about it. But we'll start with the good things:

It's a very sleek looking camera...

Shattered LCD Screen A Fluke?

Date of Review:  Sep 15, 2006
Review: The LCD Screen on my HP R707 has shattered twice, both times without dropping or knocking the camera up against anything or exposure to any extreme temperatures. The first time, it was covered under warranty and HP sent me a new camera. The second...
