HP's iPAQ h5550 Pocket PC is a versatile PDA

Date of Review:  Jun 10, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you need a PDA, this is a great one with lots of features.
Review: Imagine my delight when we were doing some office cleaning at work and found a box full of iPaq Pocket PC's. A few years ago, my employer had purchased several of these models and some people had used them for a time, but eventually quit messing...

I have a small one in my pocket !!!

Date of Review:  Jul 1, 2004
The Bottom Line: A very good pda for an expensive price!
Review: Hello, dear community

Today, I would like to venture me into the technical category again and it is, report of my new little work device, a PDA (personal Diary assistant) of the manufacturer HP.

? What's that? ?

Love/Hate relationship, but love won out.....

Date of Review:  Apr 21, 2007
The Bottom Line: Find a good one and hang onto it! This one is a keeper!
Review: Maybe it's just me and HP not getting along, but I've had bad luck with HP PDAs. I must be crazy, because it took two replacements before I got a 5555/5550 that worked reliably, but even with all the hassle, I purely loved this PDA. Every one I've...

Business PDA, business price, ALMOST all you need

Date of Review:  May 24, 2004
The Bottom Line: So near yet so far, this has all the possibilities yet just misses hitting the spot. Get rid of SD, build in Compact Flash, boost the Wifi
Review: This iPAQ is tantalisingly close to what is needed by the business or personal user but misses out on a few issues.

HUGE memory, reliable PIM storage w/ MANY S/W glitches

Date of Review:  Jun 16, 2005
The Bottom Line: Huge memory but with weak computation muscles. Lacks essential expansion slots. A swiss knife with many tools, OUCHHH; freezes frequently.
Review: In my opinion, 128MB in PPC world means 512MB in PC world. 64 MB memory is barely enough these days for actual pocket PC functions. Remember that you will NOT pay the high price tage to a list of your friends' contact info (which can be done equally...

Reviewed 3 PDA's for my upgrade

Date of Review:  Nov 28, 2003
The Bottom Line: A serious mobile extension to your computing environment. From Firefighters to Network Administrators, this tool will serve you well.
Review: I have been told the only difference between the iPaq h5550 and h5555 is: one is for Europe and one for North America, and no physical difference otherwise, so you will find this review in both products.

I compared this unit with a Toshiba...

HP Ipaq 5550 Pocket PC

Date of Review:  Feb 8, 2005
Review: I've had this for about 14 months now. It was ahead of it's time back then, and I have to say It's still working exceptionally. Powerful CPU, expandable storage in popular secure digital format, ability for expansion sleaves to allow everything from...

Depends on what you have now.

Date of Review:  Aug 19, 2003
The Bottom Line: If you have a 5455 save your money, buy a sd card and the $30 ppc 2003 upgrade from hp. If not, have no reservations picking this one up.
Review: Starting with my HP548 I have gone through 3 ipaqs prior to upgrading to the 5555 at Best Buy. Side by side with my 3955 the loss of ir and nevo are the only things I am going to miss.
Having no IR means unless your buddies pda has bluetooth,...
