Generally good but a few issues
Pros:
Great quality screen, long battery life, bluetooth and Wifi built in.
Cons:
No cradle included, weak speaker, power button no longer also controls backlight when held.
The Bottom Line:
I would highly recommend this Pocket PC especially if you want a high quality screen and long battery life.

Author's Review
For about 5 years I had an HP iPaq hx4700, it died last December the day before I would have needed it the most (as a GPS) in those 5 years, just my luck! I ended up borrowing a GPS for the next day and went without a Pocket PC for about 2 months.
I eventually bought the iPaq 210 since I wanted to stay with a high resolution VGA screen and because it has more memory and battery power than other models. It also has an LED backlight which further improves battery life.
First the disappointments:
-Incredibly this is HP's highest end model and it doesn't include a cradle, this is beyond unacceptable to me
-The speaker is in the back and a bit weak, if it's laying flat (which it will be as it doesn't come with a cradle) the sound is even more muffled
-The power button controls only the entire computer, on all previous models, pressing the power button would turn the entire computer and and off, and press and holding the power button would turn only the screen on and off, this was useful to turn off the display while playing MP3s for example. You can still turn the screen off but only from the Windows settings, and if you're in a dark room you'll never be able to see anything and get the screen back on (the screen is still viewable when off, it simply turns to a "solar" mode where it uses ambient light to operate rather than the LED backlight, so if you've turned the screen off in the dark you're not going to get it back on until you have access to light).
-The headphone jack is on the bottom so when using wired headphones the wire has to go all the way to the bottom of your pockets (unless you put it upside down in your pockets)
Now the good parts:
-It has a good high resolution screen making watching movies or even just photos on this incredible, it's like a portable HD television
-It has a lot of built in memory, 128 MB RAM and 256 MB Flash ROM
-It has 2 expansion slots, one SDHC and one CF II, meaning you can add up to 64 GB of storage
-Built in Bluetooth and Wifi for wireless accessories like headphones and GPS and high speed wireless network
-Excellent battery life, this has the best battery life of any Pocket PC/Pocket PC phone and will easily last 10-20 hours playing MP3s, of course with more intensive use such as playing a high resolution video over high speed wireless network with the screen on will probably be more around 2-3 hours
-Replaceable battery, this is important as lithium batteries have a limited life of about 1-2 years, with things like the iPod and iPhone you end up with a very expensive paper weight after 1-2 years since the battery is not replaceable in those.
I do have another complaint but it’s not about the device itself but about Windows Mobile 6 which is on this device: I have found one small but annoying bug in the new “Tasks” application. If I choose to filter the tasks displayed by category or anything else, then the sort order is no longer respected. I find this strange as doing this in Windows Mobile 5 worked fine. Who knew Microsoft could manage to get a bug in a program as simple as “Tasks”?
