Pros: Very compact, great price, good sound quality, comfortable, attractive
Cons: No volume adjustment, in-line battery pack a bit heavy
The Bottom Line: Maxell HP/NC-III, an excellent compact set of noise cancelling headphones. A definite must have for a frequent flyer.
Review: I am a frequent flyer and have been enduring airline engine noise for quite some years. I purchased a portable DVD player for flying and I was so disappointed when I couldn't hear the audio from it because of the droning, ambient sound of the aircraft - ...

Pros: Price, comfort, cancellation of annoying sounds.
Cons: None, really.
The Bottom Line: This is a great set of budget noise-cancelling headphones. You can't beat the price.
Review: I am very sensitive to many noises and many times I work editing music on my laptop in the den while everyone is watching TV. I have a hard time dealing with earbud-type headphones, so I happened to see these noise-cancelling headphones on sale at ...

Pros: Do what they say. Inexpensive
Cons: None really
Review: I have been using these for about 2 years now. I bought them specifically for flying, but I use them all the time. They don't totally drown out the airplane noise, but they do drown it out to a level that you just forget about it. But for about $280 ...

Pros: Decent noise-reduction, price
Cons: Build-quality, less-than perfect comfort.
The Bottom Line: If you've got a 'plane trip planned, buy a pair!
Review: I bought these headphones more in hope than expectation, having also tried the Philips SHN2500, which didn't work at all. Initial impressions are mixed- after finally penetrating the wretched packaging, the package includes a light, drawstring ...

Pros: Good sound, cheap price
Cons: Only works half the time, very weighty, needs to to turn off and on
Review: Yes, they do sound really good for rather cheap headphones... when they work, that is. The minijack -- the part that actually connects to your MP3 player -- is very shoddily made, and doesn't connect well. This makes things sound as though they were ...
