Is Bigger Better?

Date of Review:  Nov 22, 2000
Review: I?ve never been a fan of this type of PDA. In fact, I don?t really classify it as a PDA for some reason. (Handheld computer seems to be a better name fit) But maybe I was missing something. I very seldom have found an HP product I didn?t like so I...

Evolutionary, not revolutionary

Date of Review:  Dec 15, 2000
Review: I am not going to describe the features of the HPC platform, nor Windows CE, but instead tell you the strengths and weaknesses of this particular machine and how it compares to similar devices in its class. I currently own all of the Windows CE...

After four units- none good

Date of Review:  Feb 12, 2001
The Bottom Line: Buy something else or wait for HP to fix their quality control, design defects, customer support and documentation. For $900 or more, it's just not worth it.
Review: I purchased this very expensive unit because of its speed (it is very fast) and keyboard. You can touch type on it, if you're used to the layout and small size, and are careful. The screen is not very bright, so you'll have trouble using this...

How important is it to be popular?

Date of Review:  Dec 16, 2000
Review: When I purchased an HP-200LX many years ago, there was no question that having a small fully functional DOS machine in such a small package would be a pleasure to own - and it was. I was satisfied for years. But synchronization with my laptop and...

Great portable web surfing machine

Date of Review:  Mar 25, 2001
The Bottom Line: Best light touch-screen web surfer!
Review: I've had the 720 for about a week. I bought it because I wanted to be able to kick back on the couch or bed and surf. My notebook PC is just too heavy to be comfortable, and either I have to use the difficult point-stick or attach a mouse (which...

When you need more than an organizer and less than a laptop

Date of Review:  Dec 27, 2000
Review: It is a matter of personal preference: I was an early adopter with the original Palm Pilot. Great at organizing contacts, to do lists, calendars, but that was about it. I was still dragging a laptop along with me.

So I made the shift to...

A Computer the size of a check book!

Date of Review:  Feb 5, 2008
The Bottom Line: Perfect gift for any geek!
Review: The HP Jornada, is probably one of the coolest toys I've ever had! it's size is a little larger than one might expect in a PDA but when you add in the base, you get some very very cool options. On the base it has:

* 56k V90 Modem
* 1...

Very Good, not great

Date of Review:  Mar 28, 2001
The Bottom Line: As long as Power Point isnt your main requirement I would say take one for a test ride. I love mine. I will buy more for my employees.
Review: I purchased the Jornada 720 after reading reviews and looking at everything from PDA's to Xircoms 6000. I have a laptop which allows for some portability, but at work it is docked and I dont want to lug it to every meeting. The 720 seemed like a...

A true laptop in your pocket.

Date of Review:  Aug 9, 2002
The Bottom Line: Ideal laptop in your pocket for any business user. You can even run server software via thin client server or citrix on the 720!
Review: I have used most every type of PDA. I started out with the Sharp Zaurus, then moved to the Palms, then to a HP 320, then 680/690, NEC 750C, and then the 720. The 720 is a true replacement laptop for most business users. Prior to this I used a...

a wonderful upgrade

Date of Review:  Mar 7, 2001
The Bottom Line: Great machine with a great screen, good for those looking for more than a PDA for contacts and dates
Review: I used a Psion Series 5 for a number of years (also a good machine) and became tired of the mono screen. Psion could not tell me when they were going to improve the screen, so I made the switch. After some time thinking it over I finally purchased...
